This last Sunday afternoon, my friend Jennica came over. We decided that we were going to do a photoshoot and we wanted some pictures out in the woods. So we got the gator out and started on our way with props and camera in hand. I figured that if we went along the side of the field, we would do fine. About a 1/4 of a mile from the house, I saw a mud puddle and swerved to go around it but...I had only managed to go around half of it and through the rest of it. So then we were stuck...very stuck. Stranded out in the middle of a corn field and we had no idea what to do. We decided that we would try to push it out ourselves, we decided that we would have to ditch the flip flops and go barefoot in the mud. Well, we may be country girls, but we aren't strong enough to push a gator out of the mud. So we ended up having to walk the 1/4 of a mile back to the house through the muck and corn field and get Dad to go push it out.
As I thought about it...it reminded me of how we need to trust in God. Jennica and I couldn't get the gator out without my Dad's help just like when we get in a mess in life, we can't get out of it without the Lord's help.
Proverbs 3:5 "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart."
I am a born again Christian who by the grace of God is striving to serve and love Him with every fiber of my being.

Favorite Quotes
Here are just a few of my favorite quotes.
"The Christian life can be explained only in terms of Jesus Christ,
and if your life as a Christian can still be explained in terms of you -
your personality, your willpower,
your gift, your talent,
your money, your courage,
your scholarship, your dedication,
your sacrifice, or your anything -
then although you may have the Christian life,
you are not yet living it."

"He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep
to gain what he cannot lose."
-Jim Elliot
""God casts our sin into the depths of the sea,
and then He posts a sign that reads:
NO FISHING ALLOWED."
NO FISHING ALLOWED."
-Corrie ten Boom
"Life is not here [on earth],
but his above with Christ in God,
and therein I rejoice and sing as I think on such exaltation."

Six years ago today...
This gorgeous little girl landed on US soil.
I can't believe that it has been six years already! She has grown up so much since then.
She has picked on me, made me mad, woken me up because of nightmares, shoved me out of bed,
laughed with me (and at me), and made me a better sister.
I love her and can't imagine life without her.
The day we met her.
Meeting Grandma
Irma and Mom home at last.
They were both SO tired that afternoon after they got home.
