This last Sunday afternoon, my friend Jennica came over. We decided that we were going to do a photoshoot and we wanted some pictures out in the woods. So we got the gator out and started on our way with props and camera in hand. I figured that if we went along the side of the field, we would do fine. About a 1/4 of a mile from the house, I saw a mud puddle and swerved to go around it but...I had only managed to go around half of it and through the rest of it. So then we were stuck...very stuck. Stranded out in the middle of a corn field and we had no idea what to do. We decided that we would try to push it out ourselves, we decided that we would have to ditch the flip flops and go barefoot in the mud. Well, we may be country girls, but we aren't strong enough to push a gator out of the mud. So we ended up having to walk the 1/4 of a mile back to the house through the muck and corn field and get Dad to go push it out.
As I thought about it...it reminded me of how we need to trust in God. Jennica and I couldn't get the gator out without my Dad's help just like when we get in a mess in life, we can't get out of it without the Lord's help.
Proverbs 3:5 "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart."
